Adam Knoff, Associate Director, Solar Investments

Adam is the Associate Director of Solar Investments for Unico Properties and Unico Solar Investors, overseeing Unico Solar Investor’s renewable energy development and investments. His responsibilities include identifying, developing and managing renewable energy investments and acquisitions throughout Unico’s real estate portfolio, but also on third-party assets.

During his tenure at Unico, Adam has played an integral role in both energy efficiency and renewable energy. Through the integration of energy efficiency improvements and green building best practices, he has played a pivotal role in making Unico’s 15 million square foot portfolio 34% more energy efficient than the national median.  Diversifying his expertise, he also led Unico’s entrance into the renewable energy market by launching the company’s solar investing division – Unico Solar Investors – and currently oversees the division’s project development and ongoing management. Adam’s efforts have positioned Unico to win several industry awards, including USGBC Colorado’s Greenest Real Estate Company of the Year.

Adam brings first-hand knowledge of commercial real estate sustainability issues, a deep understanding of energy policy and utility markets, and an integrative approach to achieving lasting building efficiency. He melds an owner’s perspective with the drive to transform the built environment in a cost-effective manner that increases efficiency, reduces operating expenses, and creates increased asset value.
