Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora, Colorado has a new photovoltaic system, and students are on-hand to document the proceedings. The video covers both financing and physics, with Unico’s Adam Knoff, Senior Manager, Sustainable Real Estate & Renewable Energy, tackling the former and Namaste Solar the latter, and was produced by students Jorge Paredes ’18 and Charlie Quinn ’19 at RJ Media, Regis’s student publication.
The 495 kW solar installation was made possible through a partnership between Unico Sustainability and Namaste Solar in 2016, and will generate an estimated 16.8 million kWh over the next 25 years. Regis Jesuit High School installed the system without risk thanks to Unico’s solar solution, which establishes low, predictable energy rates for the property with no up-front or operating costs.
